Northwoods Muskies Inc is based in Minocqua, Wisconsin. Chapter 61 membership of Muskies Inc. supports the fisheries of Vilas and Oneida Counties, youth fishing programs, and social and educational initiatives throughout the calendar year. Our fishing club promotes a high quality muskellunge sport fishery, improved regulations, conservation practices and fisheries management, and promotes good fellowship and sportsmanship among lovers of the sport.
Our chapter membership is open to muskie & walleye enthusiasts throughout Northern Wisconsin and beyond. Although muskies are our main focus, The Northwoods Muskies Inc. collaborates with the Wisconsin DNR, other fishing clubs, and local lake associations to help fund and introduce “Extended Growth” muskie and walleye stocking programs in area lakes.
Northwoods Muskies, a chapter of Muskies Inc. has been a longtime partner and friend of mine since 2013. I am a member of the board of directors, whose responsibilities for the club is its website design, marketing, and communications.
In Spring, 2019, their original first-generation website that I built them in 2013 crashed. This occurred due to an outdated wordpress theme that wasn’t up to speed with today’s wordpress core and system requirements. Old website wasn’t mobile friendly, the design was outdated, and it was no longer receiving the user-engagement it once previously did. Therefore a complete website design was initiated and quickly completed in less than two weeks. A re-design was long overdue. In fact, I had pushed for one as far back as 2016.
The new website we built for Northwoods Muskies inc. caters to club membership and activities. It invites user engagement through high-resolution media and visual communication, easily accessible forms and member programs, an online member’s only discussion board, and social media integration.
New website design conveys the club’s mission, objectives, success and impact on local fisheries, its membership, and beyond that to the entire state of Wisconsin and the entire muskie fishing demographic and industry.
