Located in the world class fishing paradise of Venice, Louisiana, Bite Me Sportfishing with your host, Captain Bernie Frueh, offers offshore and near-coastal charter trips in the Gulf of Mexico. With over 25 seasons on the Gulf waters, your trip will be an unforgettable saltwater fishing experience at one of North America’s top fishing destinations. The waters of the Gulf of Mexico hold some of the largest populations of yellowfin tuna, blackfin tuna, wahoo, snapper, redfish, speckled sea trout, amberjack, kingfish, and of course sharks.

Bite Me Sportfishing specializes in offshore and near coastal fishing. Our trip itinerary includes an engaging schedule of multi-species fishing, as each day will be a new adventure. All meals and lodging and fishing gear you will need for your trip is included in the price. Your catch will also be cleaned and filleted for you when you arrive back at the dock. All you need to bring is a Louisiana fishing license with a saltwater stamp for all anglers in your group, and any snacks and drinks you might need throughout the day.

In February, 2017, we were contacted by Captain Bernie Frueh, to design him a new website for Bite Me Sportfishing. We established this partnership through a referral by another customer of mine.

Bite Me Sportfishing requested service to re-design its out-dated and poorly functional website that was built with HTML through Godaddy’s web builder program. The former website prevented growth and any web presence, lacked SEO, and was in disarray. The request was to create a visually stunning and modern, minimalist and easy to read website to showcase Capt. Bernie’s guide service, amenities, trip packages, and allow for easy hassle-free contacting and trip bookings.

The new layout we selected is an industry-standard wide-screen format that is effective for guide services and charter captains, and is one that I’ve worked with closely since 2016. The layout accommodates visual engagement, text and informational organization, and ease of navigation and usage. It is mobile friendly and responsive, and built to withstand the changing landscapes of the internet for the next several years. Best of all, the high-powered SEO implementation has already given Bite Me Sportfishing an immediate ROI as it’s now finally listed in google search results!

Fishing guide, charter service, and travel websites are the most fun and engaging assignments for me because as a fisherman I have an immense understanding of the industry requirements and the components needed for a quality and effective website. This website took 2 weeks to build, from start through completion. Everything on this website was custom-made, with our own wordpress theme layout and CSS stylesheets. Last but not least I copy-edited the entire website as contents on every page on this website was written by me.
